Inventions Restaurant

Spread the love

Inventions is the name of the restaurant situated inside the Disneyland Hotel. It is a luxury buffet with characters. If you are lucky enough to get a window seat you can enjoy your meal with a view of the park.

The decor is really interesting and is full of ‘Inventions’ – hence the name. The photo above is of the ceiling in the restaurant.

Cost

The cost of Inventions is covered by the premium dining meal vouchers, except for Sunday Brunch which requires a small top up.

For those without a meal plan the cost is 65 euros for adults and 35 euros for children. Those with standard or plus meal vouchers can pay the difference.

Food

There is a delicious range of food including soups and salad bar, seafood, hot dishes, carvery meat and an amazing range of desserts. You can go back to the buffet as many times as you like, the desserts were so tempting that I could barely walk when we left!

Characters

Although the food is delicious, the main attraction is the character interaction. It is a great way of meeting a variety of characters without having to queue and generally you get more time and attention.

On one of our visits, it was very quiet when we went, and we ended up with Mr Smee sat at our table with is for ages feeding Chip her dinner. Chip has also been taken for a walk round the restaurant with characters several times, which she loves!

The characters come out at various times and make their way around the restaurant meeting everyone. Don’t worry about missing them by going up to the buffet as they go back to any tables that they have missed. If for any reason you do end up missing a character you just ask the Cast Member accompanying the characters and they will bring them over to your table.

Birthdays

My daughter celebrated her 21st birthday with a visit to Inventions. We paid extra to have a birthday cake brought out to her. The cake cost 29 euros, and was delicious. The experience is very special with birthday music playing, and Cast Members and Characters all singing along and clapping.

As you can see on the video, Chip really enjoyed it!

Advice

If you do want to go to Inventions when you visit, I strongly advice you to book it well in advance as it is very popular. If you are annual pass holders you can get a discount from the total bill, the amount depends on which pass you have.

Under 3’s eat free!

A soft drink is included if paying with premium vouchers but not if paying cash or topping up on lower value vouchers.

You can have jugs of water on the table for free.

Enjoy – it is very special, and don’t forget your autograph books!
