On previous trips, we have stayed overnight at the Premier Inn at Gravesend. This time, we decided to try the Travelodge as it was considerably cheaper.
I have to say that I was very pleased overall. The check in was very quick and the receptionist was extreme friendly. We were given room 3 on the ground floor, just passed the reception.
The room was very spacious and had a king sized bed and a single bed, tea and coffee making facilities. The only thing missing was a hairdryer, although I did read that you can request one at reception.
The bathroom had a bath and shower with a dispenser of shower gel.
Unfortunately the Travelodge does not have a restaurant or bar, but there is a pub next door that does food and a large Morrison’s just along the road.
The journey to Ebbsfleet station took us just 8 minutes, so is ideally positioned.
Given a choice between the Premier Inn and the Travelodge, I would probably choose the Premier Inn just because I love their breakfasts. Both are clean and comfortable and ideal for a stopover before your trip.Tags: Ebbsfleet Eurostar Travelodge
