This was quite possibly my favourite ever day at Disneyland. We did far too much to write everything, so I will try to share the highlights.
We started off in the main park where we called in to City Hall to get Chip a birthday badge. Her birthday isn’t for a couple of weeks, but we decided to celebrate early. She was super excited to get a phone call from Mickey Mouse, and a birthday badge.
We wandered through the castle and went upstairs, to explore, before trying to pull the sword from the stone.
We had a lovely morning, going on most of the rides in Fantasyland, and meeting tonnes of characters including the main man himself, Mickey Mouse.
That same morning we also met Pluto and Goofy, Winnie the Pooh and Alice and the Mad Hatter. The photo with Alice is one of my favourite ever photos, they both look so beautiful.
We decided to try again to see Stitch. Chip changed into her Lilo dress, and we found a spot in front of the castle stage, for the 25th anniversary show. Towards the end of the show, Alice in Wonderland, pointed us out to Stitch and he waved. Then at the end of the show, Max (Goofy’s son) came over and took Chip by the hand to make sure she got to meet Stitch. It was amazing, something we will always remember.
Lilo and Stitch 😍
Having been at Disneyland for 3 days and not having visited the Walt Disney Studios yet, we decided to switch parks to check out the Marvel Summer event. Before we switched parks, the girls decided to have a bit of fun feeding the ducks by the castle.
Our afternoon in the studios was such good fun. We watched the new Marvel show, watched Stitch Live, went on the flying carpets and then watched the Mickey and the Magician show. My friend’s husband is in the show so it was very exciting for Chip to watch her friends’ Daddy perform.
Mickey and the Magician is one of the best shows I have ever seen, it is fantastic. It was also nice to escape the heat in the air conditioned theatre.
After a quick visit to the Disney Village for food, we said goodbye to our friends, who were heading home, and went back to the main park to try and catch the Princess Waltz. We were a little late arriving and it had already started so we walked round to the ‘secret spot’ to try to see Rapunzel and Flynn, as they left the stage. We were lucky enough that they stopped for a quick chat and loved the card that Chip gave them.
While we were there we got chatting to a lovely Cast Member who said he had a special birthday treat for Chip. He took her autograph backstage and came back with it signed by all of the Princes and Princesses. What amazing pixie dust.
Just as we thought the day couldn’t get any better I got a message from a lovely Cast Member friend, Abdou. We arranged to go and meet him and another CM friend Zelia, near the castle. Chip absolutely adores him and couldn’t get enough cuddles.
It was so lovely of them to come and meet us, especially when they were not at work. Our Disney trips have become as much about seeing our Disney friends as they are about the other attractions.
After a quick look in the shops, we made our way out of the parks feeling shattered but very happy at such a great day.Tags: disneyland paris, Pixie Dust, trip report
