We recently stayed for one night at the Kyriad Hotel at Disneyland Paris. I chose this hotel purely because of the price and location. We just wanted a cheap hotel, not to far away from the parks for our last night before travelling home.
After a full day in the parks, we arrived feeling exhausted, and just wanted a quick check in and to get to bed. We found the reception easily and there was no queue. Check in was quick and easy, however, the reception staff gave us the wrong directions to our room. I spent a good half hour struggling with luggage and a sleeping 3 year old in a pushchair before going back to reception to ask for help.
They were very apologetic and took us to our room, which was in the main building and not one of the external blocks that I had been directed to originally.
The room was basic but pleasant. We had 2 single beds, a tv (couldn’t find any English channels) and a kettle. Although there was a kettle, there were no mugs etc provided. I had tea bags and milk sachets but couldn’t make a drink as had nothing to make it in.
In the reception area there are a number of vending machines selling hot and cold drinks and snacks. There is also a bar area, seating areas and a Disney shop.
I was very impressed by the breakfast included in the price we paid. There was a great selection of hot and cold items including bacon, sausage, eggs, pastries, cheese and cold meats and even waffles. We left for the day feeling very full.
I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. It was much nicer than I expected and appeared to be very family friendly. Our stay was only short as we left early in the morning, however, I would definitely return again.
The hotel seemed well maintained and the grounds were beautiful. I noticed a children’s play area and an outdoor snack bar which both looked very nice.
